Neocartographys. Complex Landscapes

Neocartographys. Complex Landscapes researches the Theories of Complexity and the Complex Thought and its application to understand the contemporary city throught the visualization of the network by artistic multimedia installations. On one hand, it explores the roots and consecuences of the Complex Thought in a theoretical level and from a epistemological perspective; it also analyzes the methodology and tools used to generate patterns and models of visualization of the Complex Thought; and finally, it applies the results into the analysis of the contemporary city, in order to draw a dynamic neocartography of the urban landscape.

On the other hand, and from a perspective of the artistic production, the results and conclusions generated at the theoretical stage are applied in the formulation of a method capable of articulate the underlying complexity in the current city, taking as a study case two art installations from the artist that show the evolution in the change of her conception about the contemporary city.
